Egenciaβs Technology organization is seeking a Software Design Engineer capable of designing, developing, and maintaining complex web-based systems for the new Egencia platform. This platform architecture forms the backbone of Egencia's Global SOA vision and is designed to handle millions of transactions and run in a real-time 24x7 environment. Responsibilities
Design and implement powerful, highly scalable, and reliable applications. Translate functional specifications into logical, component-based technical designs. Own delivery of applications end to end by working with internal and external teams. Innovate and implement new ideas to solve complex software problems. Contribute to advancing the teamβs design methodology and quality programming practices.
Job Requirements
Degree in Computer Science, MIS or related field, or equivalent work experience. Proven software development work experience of 1-5 years. Excellent programming skills with hands-on knowledge of data structures and algorithms. Experience in System design of highly scalable enterprise applications using Java technologies and open-source frameworks such as Spring, and Kotlin. Experience in developing and deploying in AWS cloud-based platforms. Hands-on knowledge of EKS, Lambdas, Kinesis, and S3 is a plus. Experience in designing and developing NoSQL databases like MongoDB/DynamoDB. Experience in product development is preferred with an Agile, Dev-ops modus operandi. Experience in UX technologies and frameworks like JavaScript, and React. A passion to innovate and build great software. Strong presentation and persuasion skills. Good oral and written communication skills. Ability to work collaboratively with team members in different time zones and cultures. Familiarity with the travel industry is a plus.
