Job Description
Zenskar is building a new-age billing and pricing infrastructure for SaaS companies. As SaaS pricing evolves from vanilla subscription-based models to more granular usage-based models, billing and pricing infrastructure needs to be completely reimagined. Zenskar was founded by Apurv Bansal & Saurabh Agrawal, who sold their previous startups to Snapdeal and Gaana respectively. They have experience at organizations such as Google, Basepair, Elevation Capital, IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi and Harvard Business School. We are funded by marquee global investors, including Bessemer Venture Partners. We are an early team that hits above our weight and are looking for folks who can pick things up quickly and hit the ground running. Ideally, you are excited about learning and meaningfully shaping the trajectory of an early-stage pre-launch startup.
Responsibilities
Weβre looking for a frontend developer intern, who can take ownership of the user-facing side of our product. This will be a 4-6 month internship (starting immediately), with the potential to convert into a full-time role. You will be mentored by senior engineers on our team. Your primary roles and responsibilities will evolve over time as your experience and comfort with the product grows. These will include: Taking full ownership of building a pixel-perfect frontend product. Understanding code quality, maintainability and modularity. Breaking down large tasks into independent smaller chunks. Writing well-tested code to ensure rapid iteration. Communicating with both technical and non-technical stakeholders to understand their points of view and to discuss your own ideas. A basic understanding of backend development is a plus.
Job Requirements
Capable of building the frontend part of web applications with minimal guidance: Proficiency in Javascript, Reactjs, HTML and CSS. Knowledge of other Javascript frameworks is a plus. Tailwind CSS experience is preferred but not required. Good at making a designerβs design come to pixel-perfect reality. Good at making decent interfaces from basic wireframes (without a designerβs help) when needed Entrepreneurial mindset. Self-driven individual with high ownership and a strong work ethic. Good communication skills. Not taking yourself too seriously.
